Web site design and development was not part of Educe's original core functions but it has become clear over recent months that the skills required for such services are essential for progressing the business. As a result these services are now key to the success and further expansion of Educe Software Solutions.

Having nurtured these skills in house, Educe is now offering web site design and development services. If your company would like a web presence or the rates below prove to be competitive with your current developers, you may wish to make use of Educe's web development skills to enhance your site.

Services available include basic web presence including home page, contacts page, about page, products page and support page. Site navigation using a layered menu. Optional search, translation and credit card ordering/payment. Additional linked content as required.

Various functionality such as:

• Forms for users to send data or request services.
• Database for back end processing and data storage.
• Language translation to make the site more readable.

Site search and remote administration of search default properties.

The site will be hosted by a third party as hosting is not part of Educe's core functions. Educe uses Impact Hosting for site hosting and .com domain name registration. For other domains ie .co.uk Educe uses Empower Business.

Price:

Skeleton site (demonstration) $250. Deliverable is an index URL for the customer to asses the site.

Finished site for the above + $300. Deliverables are:

• FTP address, login names and passwords to enable the customer to maintain their new site.
• URL for remote administration of search features and products.
• URL and passwords for credit card ordering (this will be an independent contract with a credit card ordering company between the customer and the credit card company. Educe will set up the contract and link it to the web site but will not be a party to it.).

Above site maintained by Educe @ $80 per hour. Charges accumulate during maintenance only and only after explicit direction by the customer for each maintenance activity. Maintenance includes updating the site with new content or changing the design. Maintenance for the servers, ordering system, translation, bulletin board etc is free.

URL registration (.com) $35 paid to Network Solutions, Inc. per year.

Professional web site hosting with 50MB of storage, 10 email accounts, SSL for secure data transfer, site statistics, FTP service, Frontpage 97/98/2000 extensions, Active Server Pages, ASPmail and auto-responders. $14 per month with a one off $30 set up fee for the provider.
