Mission. What does your dept have to do now on a day to day basis.

Example: Our mission statement is our target for the two to three year horizon:

"To deliver mission capable aircraft on time, every time to meet 92WG's operational needs"

(92WG our flying operator, and our principal customer.)

Vision. What would you like to be doing in five years time.

Example: "We are recognised as the World's leading maritime patrol aircraft maintenance organisation"

Objectives. A list of key events that will enable you to achieve your mission and set you on the path to achieving your vision.
