Features:
Alternatively, the online version may better suite your needs. Below is the main screen for the application:
If
you would like more information you can read the read
me.txt file or the user
manual.doc (Word 97). Alternatively you could download the Demo
version which is limited to processing three different forms (by three I don't
mean three emails I mean you can only set-up three blank forms). The
Demo can be unlocked by registering
the software. If you would like me to customise the application to suit your
companies requirements then task me and we
can negotiate a price ($60 per hour depending on the work).

Download Instructions. The Demo comes in two flavours (with or without the MS Access run time files). If you have Access 97 then you do not need the run time files. For either, you must have MS Outlook (97, 98 or 2000 not express 4 or 5).
The hfp.zip file includes set-up files and uninstall routine for users who have MS Access 97 or the run time files.
The files disk1.zip to disk10.zip are images for 1.44 floppy disk install or hard drive install from folders named disk1, disk2 etc. These includes setup files, uninstall routine and MS Access 97 run time files. They have been provided in this format as the http download protocol can be unreliable so the small file sizes reduce inconvenience for failed downloads.
You can also download the latest updates for the frontend and data. These are updated from time to time to provide more functions and fix bugs. Check the version numbers listed below and the version displayed by the about dialogue on your version.

| The original software was based on forms generated by the Demon ISP cgi script. Other scripts and form generation software produce an email that can have a totally different format which resulted in this software failing to do its job. The same problem occurred when a control was expected but not present (eg check box that was not checked). | The data extraction module has been rewritten
to take account of the fact that controls can be presented in any order
or may not even be present. frontend.zip ver 1.5.2 |
| New splash/about screen. New maintenance options. Updated registration process. | frontend.zip ver 1.5.3 |
| Cosmetic changes and new contact details. | frontend.zip ver 1.5.4, data.zip ver 1.3.4. |
| MS Access 2000 | This application requires MS Access 97 or it's run time files. It can not be run by MS Access 2000 and the user can not convert this to MS Access 2000, however it will install and run on a system that has MS Access 2000 installed without causing any damage to MS Access 2000 or this application. To do this you need to download the full installation including the MS Access 97 run time files. You should select the typical install option which will ensure that the run time files are installed. Selecting minimum will not install the run time files and when you try to run the application MS Access 2000 will start. This will result in an error message. |
| NT4 and Windows XP | HTML Form processing will run on NT4 and XP but the install programs fails (which makes it a little difficult to run the application). The solution is to manually install the application. If you have MS Access 97 then download frontend, data and help files and unzip them to a folder of your choice. Then create a shortcut to frontend.mde and edit the properties of the shortcut (target) to the following: "path to access 97 \MSACCESS.EXE" "path to your new folder \frontend.mde"/wrkgrp "path to your new folder \HTMLForms.mdw"/user Demo /pwd If you do not have MS Access 97 and need the run time files, download the full install of Ad Hoc enquiries and install it (for some unknown reason this will install on NT4 and XP). Then follow the directions above. |
The Future. The following table shows the possible changes that will be made in future versions of the software. These are enhancements to the frontend and where necessary the data as well. Some are my own ideas and some are from customers who have identified additional requirements. You can add to this list via the wish list form.
